The hotel has a selection of standard superior and Four poster rooms all en suite all individually designed and constantly upgraded. All rooms have direct dial telephone but are without television and radios due to the poor local reception. This adds to the tranquility of the hotel which most of our quests consider a bonus. . CA13 9UZ Directions: Turn of the M6 at junction 40 on to the A66 which you follow around Keswick town centre turn off at Braithwaite and take either Newlands or Whinlatter depending on the weather conditions. Newlands brings you down into Butteremere and the Hotel. Whinlattewr into Lorton on the road from Cockermouth where you can pick up signs for Buttermere. Care should be taken during winter months or frosty weather and we would recommend consulting the weather forecast durind these periods and consider alternative routes if there is a possibility of ice.
