Briar Lea House is a large country house in its own grounds in the northern regions of Cumbria.

An ideal base for exploring the historic City of Carlisle the Scottish borders Gretna Green and Hadrian's Wall.

We are ideally placed for an overnight stop en route to or from your destination.

Our heated swimming pool is available to our guests May September.

Our ground floor rooms are spacious and suitable for those less able.

We can also accommodate a small or large family and the smaller wedding party.

We offer our guests a warm and friendly service and aim to make them feel 'at home.

Directions:

From Junction 44 M6 take the A7 towards Galashiels and Longtown. It is also the Edinbrugh Holiday route. On entering Longtown turn first right on the A6071 signed towards Brampton. Briar Lea House is half a mile on the right hand side. Look out for our notice board and the small red triangle at night marking the entrance.On entering the grounds park your car at the rear and enter reception. Ring the bell for attention. Check in between 3pm. 10pm.
